It's because of the poor effort by players and coaches this year. NOT the fans. We take enough unnecessary heat from coach... no need for fans to blame other fans.

WRONG. Stand up for these young men in this game like Clemson fans did in the past. Even if the team was 6-5 DEATH VALLEY was ALWAYS LOUD against the Coots.

1995 we were 2-8 going into that game.... the place was electric and we announced ahead of time that Tommy West would be let go after the game. The fans made it electric and we won that night to go 3-8.

This isn’t mediocre football. Mediocre was 1992 through 2010. And we set attendance records for that time period. Never louder than it was against Miami in 2005 or much more packed than against fsu in 2001.

1980 loud musta been because the hill was full. 15 k fewer fans caused lots more problems back then.

I attended games in there in the 70s and 80s and those early 1980s games in there seemed much louder than now. Never really thought about why, but this part about the hill is a good point. When they added the other top deck to the north it obviously went to a whole new level- but nowadays it seems like the volume level is somehow down.
