Not leaving the ACC in 1982 when the NCAA gave us a two year probation, and the ACC extended it to three years. Should have packed up and left then.

Should have left then as an independent. Back when the sec expanded we would have had an invite, and might have been contacted, but we’ll probably never know. We would have been a better fit than … and …

I don't hold grudges often but I do with the ACC for this very reason. Only Maryland of all teams stuck up for us if I remember correctly.
