Funny how they blame lack of success on not being able to get in a rhythm when DJ is in, but never put Cade in more than 3 plays and he still surpasses DJ’s numbers when he is in 99% of games. Coaches are right about one thing though, it’s not all DJ’s fault. When the coaches can’t or won’t see DJ is failing as QB, it’s on coaches. Cade has shown more leadership on field the few opportunities he has had, than DJ has all year. Let’s just hope DJ moves on after this year!

nc state put in their third string guy and he looked good...if cade isnt ready which is the claim..then why do other schools seem to have back ups that are ready but a top tier program like clemson doesnt?..another tough question that should be asked..the kid has been here since spring how on earth isnt he at least prepared to go in when needed if he is the back up

He'll get there.
Kenny Picket was mediocre at best for most of his career at Pitt. After he got it all together in his FIFTH year, he became a 1st round NFL draft pick.
We all need to calm down a bit about this 'Cade is Superman' or 'Cade must not be any good' nonsense. He's just a freshman and needs some time to develop.

Cade would run and throw circles around him. An average Cade is 100x better than another mediocre to less than average. Actually, mediocre would be a great improvement over what we’ve seen.

Are you serious? Well if he isn’t ready how can you say DJ is ready? He’s had 2 whole years of playing while not being ready for anything. Why do you feel the need to take on popular opinion about DJ and the offense? I wonder if you’re even on the same planet as the rest of us sometimes. DJ is killing us in recruiting I’d bet. Until he announces his “plans” (LOL), I’d tell any offensive recruit that’s your QB if you go to Clemson for the next 2 years.

Probably anyone in our stellar QB room could outplay DJ with a little practice! There is a name for someone who will do the same failing thing time and time again, with hope of a better outcome! We have given Dr. Pepper all the chance that they need! It is said that Tigers never change their spots...always wondered about that one...see the answer now!
