You don't supplant NASA with the private sector by being dumb. You don't single-handedly revolutionize the EV market by being lucky.
He's just like Ben Carson, brilliant guys made to look exceedingly stupid by getting involved with politics you don't care to neither research nor understand beyond a cursory glance.

I'm not sure what real value he adds to Tesla or SpaceX, just look at their recent records. He has lost more wealth since purchasing twitter, than all but like two people have ever even acquired, but he's ostensibly at 13 year old in a divorced dad's body. Even setting that aside, he fundamentally doesn't understand very basic concepts like how journalists found out the shooters social media posts on ok.ru.
