If an all powerful being designed us

Then he did a #### poor job!
Let’s think about this for a second. We are born helpless AF, depending on someone to take care of us. Nearly everything in our world is trying to kill us, disease, bacteria, germs of all sorts, and without medicines it would. Many of us still get various cancers and other things that shorten our lives. Not to mention all the accidents, fires and disasters that will kill a lot of us. For those lucky enough to live long enough,…. Our bones grow weak, joints and organs fail, and again without modern medicine we’d be in trouble. For those that grow really old we can look forward to great things like dementia and crapping ourselves, and not being able walk or remember who we are, going full circle to be helpless depending on others to take care of us

The design is perfect.
Everything you described is a result of human operator error.

How are germs and bacteria human operator error, or cancer or all the things that come with old age?
So someone get cancer or dementia … it’s coz they didn’t do life right? I had a 7 yr old cousin die of leukemia a few years back, my pop died of cancer ( never smoked, was active, ate well) but according to you the family should just shrug their shoulders and say “ hey, you user error “ Places like St Judds and Shriners hospitals should change their names to user error clinics
Your reply makes no sense at all

Do you really believe that the evidence supports what you just said?
One dude ate a piece of fruit and that caused cancer and disease and natural disaster?

I get what you are saying. But I wonder, where does the good in life come from? Love, happiness, etc…
It does seem to me like there is “something” fighting against evil.

Can you clarify the question?
I don’t follow. I don’t see what that has to do with “intelligent design”

It's really more of a statement than a question I guess.
There is a lot of bad in the world, but there is also a lot of good.
Parents taking care of their newborn as you pointed out for example.
Where does it come from? I think you can just as easily be perplexed by the good in the world just like the bad.

No doubt there’s more questions than answers, but I never claim to know the answers or believe what’s written which again would make for more questions
My point is the design has lots of flaws. I wouldn't chalk those up to good and evil by the way

I guess my point is that you are right the flaws in the world point away from a perfect creator, but the fact that there is good in the world may point to some kind of loving being outside the natural world.
It seems if everything occurred naturally it would just be survival of the fittest to the fullest extent, meaning a parent wouldn't care anymore about it's infant than it would a rat running around in the garage.
There are animals that are like that. They even eat their offspring. At some point we started caring for each other. Why though?

like the guy who ran a red light and swore in court that his brakes failed. You should file suit for relief against GM, Ford or whichever company made your car. The first thing they are going to subpoena is your maintenance records.

I’ve asked before and nobody answers…
Why does god get all the glory but none of the blame?

able to sensibly explain or dispute.
If God is all-knowing and all-powerful, then it means that he isn't opposed to what we call sin or evil at all; rather, he wants it to exist. He sees it, has known all along it was going to be there, and could eliminate it in the blink of an eye. But he doesn't.
So, there is something wrong with the concept of an all-powerful God who does not want sin or evil. A truly all-powerful God, by definition, is ultimately responsible for everything, good and bad.

You're miserable and I'm delighted with constant thanksgiving for life. Here's the difference...
Psa 139:
"13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!"
Have you ever wondered why you gravitate to this board and openly share your misery? I think I might be able to help you with that if you'd simma down and listen a minute.

I don’t have to be smarter than god, just smarter than you.
Maybe I am, maybe I’m not. I don’t claim to have the answers. You do.

Why does he have to have the answers? Therein lies the difference between the believer and non-believer.

He is saying he has the answers to who what and why we are here. And where we are going.
Nobody has anyway of knowing if their worldview is correct.

I think it's exactly the way it's supposed to be.

Every last bit of it is an extension of God and his love. I don't think God "wants" anything. I think that is us imposing human qualities onto God. I think God just is. That's just my belief and that's the best I can do. That's all any of us can do.

well according to what I was taught "God made us in his image". So how can we not impose human qualities. Also the bible is chock full of stories where God has very human qualities. He certainly wanted things back in the day
I'm totally down with God being something none of us can understand... a force of some kind, however the bible and religion makes him a big toy maker in the sky, who watches down, causing/preventing thing, even correcting things he caused himself, and judging us, for using the abilities he gave us
