Anyone thinking CFP games should be on Saturdays?

I know the NFL ownes Sunday.. I thought NCAA football owned Saturday. Not liking a Thursday and a Friday game, and no CFP game this Saturday.

The NFL owns the entire weekends during the playoffs.

The NFL cannot own Saturday. Owning Sunday is enough, and perhaps too much.

Well, they do unfortunately. College football has rights on Saturdays until mid December, then the NFL can play games. The NFL has been playing playoff games on Saturday since before the CFP was even thought of, so that isn’t going to change. It would take an act of congress (literally) to change that and the NFL is much more popular around the country than college is, so it won’t happen. Unfortunately the NCAA didn’t start a playoff in FBS when the game first began and we have to suffer for it now.
That being said, I think the national championship game should move to weekend between the NFL conference championships and the Super Bowl. It would have to be a Sunday night though because Saturday nights get terrible ratings nationally compared to Sunday, but it’s better than Monday and can start earlier.

They are scheduled to either fall in NYE or NYD, or to avoid the NFL playoffs
College Saturdays are primarily for the regular season.
