I'd rather have a D that sometimes gives up 70 than an offense that can't score

Believe me, it was no fun listening to the ragging after the WV bowl game, but I knew we could make some coaching changes and get things going next season.

In three of the last four season openers, we've scored 3, 3 and 7. (And 41 against Georgia Tech) All the offseason is spent prepping for game one and we lay major eggs. I realize that Georgia is a tough opening game, but still ... how many drives since we last scored a touchdown on the Dawgs?

I have laughed before at those Big XII scores and said "they don't play any defense!" Well, shoot man, I would love to just see our offense be able to do big things even if we give up 50 a game.

I can watch ANY OTHER GAME and see flashes of offensive brilliance. I watch ANY OTHER TEAM and see how well they move the ball. Both FSU and Georgia Tech moved the ball pretty well in that opener.

Whatever this playcalling and execution are, I'm done with it. I'd rather see a quarterback draw it up in the dirt and then freestyle it on Saturdays. It would HAVE to be better than what I'm seeing.

When we dropped Kevin Steele for Brent Venables and saw a vast improvement, we expected the same thing with Garrett Riley replacing Brandon Streeter. There has been no improvement and maybe even a little regression. I just can't watch this offense anymore.
