what they seem to forget about the game last year, is that we had already clinched the Division, and our best player did not step on the field. we had absolutely nothing to play for. our guys were looking forward to the SCar game (not that it mattered)
its not an excuse for how bad we played but Dabo was dealing with a bunch of freshman and sophmores that just thought they could show up and win. towards the end of last season i honestly think our guys started reading too much about themselves and it just got to them.
i can promise you that this team has circled that game on the calendar for this year. we got embarrassed on TV. i am 100% positive that we will not lose to State again this year.

I have to respectfully disagree on some of these points. Hopefully our team did not look past the Pack last year. If they did, then we need to change our coaches. Also, if we had nothing to play for - again, we need to change coaches. THAT is part of their job to ensure that our team is ready for the NEXT GAME.
That said - NCSU poses a bigger threat than FSU IMO. Anyone who slept thru the last 5-6 games last year might have missed it, but NCSU played lights-out. NCSU was probably the BEST team in the ACC after the final game of last year. Yeh - we won the ACC - but the Pack was the most improved team, and CLEMSON was spiraling out of control. We had better not "look past NCSU" this year - or we'll be watching them play in the ACCCG.
NCSU fans get a pass. I would probably pick them as the favorite to win the ACC this year, with CLEMSON/FSU/VT fighting for 2nd.
If any of NCSU/CLEMSON/FSU wins 2 of these games with each other, then they will play VT in the ACCCG.

Every team has problems heck Danny lost to Duke!!! State had his number but I'm sure you would have fired him!!!
I'll bet you 50 we finish higher than state!!!

Hop off the NCSU nuts man. They played "lights out" at the end of the year because they had to to make a bowl, and they had a favorable back end schedule. I've lived in Raleigh for 12 years so I think I am pretty qualified to speak about this. Whenever they have expectations, they disappoint. When they don't have expectations, they perform a little better than expected. They have a severe lack of talent. No receiving threats, no consistent running game, solid DL, huge hole at LB, one DB who takes a lot of risks, and nothing by way of special teams. We came out flat against them last year, that was the story

How dare you compliment another team! Clemson is the only real football team in the country, we have the best staff, players, and the most realistic fans around. It doesnt matter that we lost any games last year, it was a fluke!
