Don’t tell me NIL. That’s been around a couple of years.
Our coaching staff is stable.
We’ve never lost guys like we have this year.
What’s being told to recruits on the trail?
Something just seems off.

We don't use NIL for high school players apparently. The money is there, but our coach is unwilling to change.

It is NIL. Either we don’t raise enough all together or we don’t allocate enough to HS recruits. Probably a combo of both…

that's the part i do not understand. if Dabo can't be the one offering the NIL, how can he stop the "collective" from offering high school recruits. Something doesn't add up.

"Don't tell me NIL" Then you won't get an answer. These programs are throwing bigger bags around up front because teams like Duke and Georgia Tech can sign 3-4 difference making freshmen, a dozen guys from the portal and the go from 6-6 to 10-2. Bryce Davis and Tae Harris are getting "big fish in small pond" money and I don't blame them for taking it frankly.

I would take the cash as well. Gtech is a good school to top it all off.

Understand but we’ve never seen wholesale defections like this year except when BV left.
Maybe it is NIL but why not the defections in the previous years?

100% NIL love Dabo but we have been so far behind the 8 ball in NIL from the start. We couldn’t afford to give up that gap, smaller school from a smaller state. It sucks but hopefully in the next phase of college football (whatever that is) we’ll be more competitive for top talent.

If odds are he’ll never see the field, don’t you want him in a program that emphasizes graduation and career-mindedness?
UGA has a big bag o dollas, and they can’t graduate kids worth a durn. They’re not about it. Fact is, lots of those guys flounder professionally because their future was never realistically planned.
Clemson is big on real life.

Get a great degree and get up front money.
Then, you could always transfer to Clemson in 2 years if you did great.

They can get the piece of paper degree anywhere. The 750k or more could be life altering money. They should take it. It's not the kids fault. Tbe system is not built this way. Dabo should be told tbat we are gonna use what resources we have available to at least try. He works for Clemson and not the other way around. This awful what he is being allowed not to do. Honestly it's stupid on tbe university's part.

LOI is signed there is no way to know if the commit has changed his mind or if the coach his.
It makes no sense to get upset knowing that there's a good probability that before the LOI is signed our coaches withdrew the offer. It can happen over grades or newly discovered, behavior or attitude.
We almost never have problems between our players and the authorities and we graduate 99% over all. That isn't an accident, it takes a lot of diligence and hard work to accomplish such a feat as being #1 at graduation and we're probably the school with the lowest number of arrests.
Relax and enjoy being on top of that mountain.

Sanders to Tennessee was 100% NIL. The DL to Duke was also likely NIL related (money now versis the potential of future money).
