I remember Willie used to wear NB 990 running shoes on stage. He stayed in decent shape.

I used to be a runner, from what, I am still figuring out. I played soccer, left half back, i was state CHampion in High jump in middle school, and could beat a lot of dudes more talented me in the 400. I would let them think they had it in the bag, when I was just getting started.
Everyone should run, you will live longer and be a happier person.

i never needed to be taken out in soccer, I was hyperactive as a child, now I have "happy feet". We had a great soccer coach, it was city league in New Jersey. He was from Barcelona, I was a good friends with his son. He said left half-back, I said put me in coach.

At his age I was running in the 35's so maybe it slowed him down?

dirt track wearing shorts,t-shirt and my football helmet. I was not a very fast guy, and it took all I had to break 6 minutes. I cannot IMAGINE running 6 of them,back to back in under 6.....AND I HAVE NEVER DONE IT SINCE,LOL! I did run a 5k in 24:24 at 54 years old (and that was the only race I have ever enterred). I run and work out for one reason...so I can stand in the front of a bassboat,run a trolling motor, and stand up and fish for 6 to 8 hours....well, and to drag my kayak over rocks in the Broad River...
My coot running buddy...different story alltogether...when he opens his car door he jumps out and is ready to go....he just likes running. My FAVORITE part is when I have taken my last step and the job is done for the day!!! I guess that is why I am smiling so big in all those pics I post from the track..

I remember a while back, Snopp Dogg said he smoked weed with Willie but after a few hours, he had to wave the white flag. He could not keep up.
