don't badmouth the players, but when the coach isn't getting it done you hear, JL didn't strike out
JL is living off a Clemson tradition that he has slowly killed. Many in ACC have passed us, plus our rival.
it's time to face it, we need change

You're really pathetic now. If you were a real baseball fan, regardless of how sodden you are with the sunshine pumper kool-aid, you should be concerned after witnessing yesterday's performance. That wasn't UNC we were playing... it was LIBERTY. And they PUNKED us in our home state after having an even more mediocre season than we did. And they play lesser competition.
Seriously, dude? Don't you understand that the measure of a team is how well they do in the clutch? Yesterday should have been a gimme for us.

to the success of our baseball program than the coots are.
The coots, like you, LOVE Jack being at the helm of the Clemson Baseball program.
What does that say about you?

The fact is, the team for whatever reason, was not prepared to play yesterday. After the Miami game and UNC game, there is no excuse. This is on the coaches and the players. Our team is so young-every baseball program has to deal with the same issues we have to deal with yet we are usually less prepared.

If Jack can take over another program (not that anyone is trying to poach him) and turn it around I'd give him credit. But he can't.

In Bill's last 12 seasons he went to Omaha once and missed the tourney 5 times.
In Jack's last 12 years we went to Omaha 3 times and have missed the tourney one.
Not sure how he has torn anything down.

about a 2nd or 3rd year coach. There's nothing Jack hasn't accomplished that Bill did even years after Jack took over.
One could also point out that Jack has had to do it vs more highly ranked teams in and out of conference. The ACC never had as many top ranked teams and as many teams that have been consistently hosting regional and super regionals as they do now.
Bill never faced a schedule filled with as many ranked and 40 win teams as Jack does now yet Jack still has Clemson considered by most to be one of the top baseball programs in the country and pretty much where Bill left it some 20 years later. A lot of people consider that even more impressive.

I'm the biggest Jack critic in the world, but I'm willing to give the guy two more years to prove he can take us to the next level. By doing so he will need to prove that he can win a championship (conference or national) and win a season series against USuC. 2 conference titles in 21 years at a program like ours should not be tolerated.
Last night was unacceptable, but considering our youth (I know most are tired of hearing that excuse) and our upcoming recruits such as Austin Meadows I think its reasonable to expect that within two years we should be competing for a national championship. If we do not see championships in two years, then its time for Jack to go.
This program and too much pride to be stuck in mediocrity while other programs (USuC, UNC, UVA, ect.) continue to pass us.
