This guy is our glue

We need our offensive coordinator to share his passion or gracefully bow out. Brent has the hardest job on the team right now and he is doing it well. Time for a shakeup on offense. You know Brent would shakeup his D if it were as bad as our O.

Coach Venables , your defense played their hearts out on the field and kept us in the game . It's a shame we have such an inconsistent offense that keeps our defense on the field the whole game . The first 3 games have taken their toll and it started to show up late in this game.

The offense caused the defense to play far to much

It was every 4 plays and back out there. I don’t want to hear about building Rome ( because you’re not building a city) I don’t want to hear about evaluating, ( because that should have been done in the spring) the defense and special teams was the only unit that showed up. I’ve been saying for a year and a half that Elliott wasn’t a elite coordinator. And that when TL was gone it would show. But I didn’t know that we wouldn’t be able to beat middle of the road ACC teams. Our offense should apologize to the defense. Elliott should step down. Hire a coordinator. And reevaluate the QB’s . TP came in and the O looked smoother. DJ rifles everything. His handoffs to the back are televised and awkward. DJ is 3-3 as a starter. He’s the worst QB we’ve had since who? Kyle Parker? I don’t care what or who. But that offense has to start working. Or we won’t have enough players to field a defense by seasons end. GO TIGERS!!

I agree. CBV knows his players and their abilities inside and out. He knew the last two years he had gaps and what his position group limitations were. Knew 2 years ago his weak link was DL and lacked experience and depth, so he didn't stay stuck in the mud and continue to run 4 man fronts etc. He redesigned a scheme that gave us the chance to get to the CFP and championship game...
Elliott knew we were weak at OL, slot, and RB, yet it doesn't appear he's made any schematic changes to give his offense a better chance.

Deserved. Clemson has gone from WR -U to Nepotism-U. His boys had no name in HS. Yet they get in over other PWOs that were all-state, all conference, played in state championship games. Then Venables brings Jake in who was really nothing in HS, tries to play him, when he got bullied and ran over in the Shrine Bowl game and his Shrine Bowl Bench was not better than a WRs bench out of Chapman who was on their recruiting board that was but the scholarship went to a guy who just got run off at corner and landed at Georgia. The same guy who ran a 4.89 at the Nike Regional . Takes a DB Walk on from Blacksburg this year that had no name in HS, was afraid to work out at the Shrine bowl in 1v1, quit Indiana before he got started, went to Coastal for one day, left and went to Gardner Webb, left there and walked on at Clemson. When they could have taken a guy that played and started at QB at Newberry, Winning record, state championshio QB, State player of the year, who converted to WR for the tryout and won every one on one. Yes Ive been around all of them, coached them or against them. Passed over Deebo for a guy who isn't in the league. So yes. Clemson deserves every bit of this until they get back to evaluating talet AND character.
