Everyone talks about DJ's evolution from last year to this year--physically, personally and mentally. They talk about his personal/mental issues as if everyone knows what those are. Does everyone except TXTF know what those are? What happened? Did his parents divorce? Where's Big Dave? He use to be everywhere.

it looks like DJ started distancing himself from Big Dave during the season last year. We'll probably never know all the gory details, but my best guess is that he's the college-level equivalent of those parents that stand behind the dugout at youth baseball games helping you coach with the benefit of all their overwhelming sports wisdom. Think LaVar Ball without a shoe company here. I sort of think we didn't go after Matayo very hard because Dave seemed to have shifted his attention away from DJ to little brother and we definitely don't need 3 or 4 more years of that going on around our program.

short bit. Dude was the last guy out of the locker room and is super nice. He talked with my family, signed jerseys, talked with kids, gave lots of time. Glad he's doing better in the head.
