They'll be able to walk around and say, "They didn't beat ME! I wasn't out there" like that matters. Just something to prop up their pride. They knew they were going to get their Woodaz handed to them and didn't want to do that.

FSU would have lost anyway, but not trying with everything you have when undefeated in the Orange Bowl. Its not like it was the Music City Bowl or something with a few losses. I understand why you don't play in those.

Exactly why this idea of 20 year olds running college football will harm it almost beyond repair. The upper deck of the Gator Bowl looked as if it was completely empty, folks aren’t going to spend money and travel if the players do not care to play.
Only fitting that we have multiple Presidents in different professions willingly watch something once great be destroyed. It’s essentially treason in both instances.

If they werent unefeated and in the Orange Bowl I eould understand. I think they knew they didnt matchup, so they quit.

They are preparing for the biggest moment in their career. All the blood sweat and tears they put in for all those year pays them in 3ish months. I doubt they really care as they shouldn’t.
