For whatever the reason is, our guys are having a hard time understanding that if they don't swing at some of the good pitches, those runner on base are going to be still standing there when the inning is over. For some reason our batters are chasing after pitches that are almost impossible to hit, and when they make a connection, they are fouled out of play, tipped, or popped up.
I wonder how many base runners this team has left stranded throughout this entire season. I would almost be willing to bet that it's more than any other team in ACC.
Toward the last month of the season, I was feeling like this could be the year that we went back to Omaha with a really good chance at winning the 2024 baseball Natty, but it seems like our team has lost their focus bc they are chasing after way too many bad pitches and letting the best pitches just hit the catcher's mitt while leaving base runner stranded. They have one more chance to give every pitch a good look and start swinging at only good pitches, or they will be putting the bats, balls, and gloves up tomorrow bc they want get another chance to play until next season.
Let go Tigers and keep your eyes on the ball and only swing at hittable pitches and stop chasing after pitches that are almost impossible to hit, and that's what they've been doing with runners on base, they are chasing after really bad pitches leaving to many base runners stranded...

We got out pitched and out hit today. Florida is a team of beasts at the plate and we cannot waste opportunities like we did in the 1st because Florida is going to hit the ball.

I knew this was going to be a tough draw. We will have to out hit them. Their pitching can be gotten to, but our bats can't go cold. I was pulling for OkSt in the Regional bc this team is hot an dangerous and full of straight up dudes. And that is my Captain Obvious take for the day.

Yep, I've watched Florida several times this year. They can definitely be hit. There's a reason they were ranked 2 in pre-season. We all know sully has talent.

Walk the guy! Bad coaching. Worst case outcome we are down 5-4 or 6-4. Bases loaded have us an option for a double play. How does Erik make this mistake. It’s sad when Corbin and Sullivan have won 3 WS and we have none.

We definitely can win 2 in a row. But as coach said, they'll probably score some runs, just can't give them free ones. We quite possibly win today's game if it weren't for the 8 walks, 4 of which scored.

Our coaches come into the game and say we can’t let Cags beat us….and guess what the 3run HR pretty much did. Our offense needed to score more runs in 1st, but as usual, we don’t. Just seem to can’t get the “big” innning here lately. We only have one reliable starting pitcher and that is Knaak who has to pitch great Sunday and then hope UF offense goes cold Monday for us to win it; what is even worse is the sorry Coots beat UF 2 out of 3 !!

Just can't walk guys and have Cag come up with guys on with no outs....I knew that was a bad deal. They have more dudes than we have and they caught fire at the right time cause they were straight up trash during the regular season. Hopefully we can consistently hit tomorrow. It will be literally impossible to hold their hitting down with our pitching. Let's do it TIGERS!!!!

Yep, I think you were saying this before the two teams ever took to the field. But if our guys don't get serious and get their focus back by tomorrow, they can pack it up and try again next year!!!

Granted, I did not watch the game due to mundane suburban Saturday afternoon activities but still … you won’t win many games doing that.
