You obviously follow basketball very closely...
What do we need to know about tomorrow's game at Pitt? Two undefeated in the ACC teams...
Do we have a real shot here (pun very intended)?

Should be interesting. Pitt lost 3 of their first 4 games against respectable ooc opponents. Only one loss (to vandy) on the road since that opening start. Pitt got called for a foul with 1 second left and vandy sank both ft to win by 1... so they're one foul away from being unbeaten since Thanksgiving.
Very similar teams that aren't getting the respect yet. Pitt has played a tougher schedule than us and probably make the AP top 25 if it came out today.... impressive wins over unc and then uva Tuesday night.
Should be a good one. Two road W's against 2 good teams would be quite the feat. If I were betting, I'd pick us to lose this one in a close game. Glad I don't bet. ESPN giving Pitt about 60% chance. 60-40 is nothing in bball.

It is quite a feat. I put our GT win in that category just because we play so poorly there usually and didnt this time

That’s the big key - we keep having long streaks where nobody can hit a shot

I'm not judge, but I actually really like the match up. If we play how we have been, I see a win. If we shoot poorly like we did vs Loyola we will likely lose. ACC road games are tough.
Pitt is a veteran team that starts 3 guards. Their best guard is jamarius Burton. We have actually done a really good job on the teams beat scorer, so hopefully he struggles.
If we get their big men in foul trouble we should be able to dominate down low. They don't have a ton of depth with their bigs.
I talked going to be a great match up.

They’d lose to Daniel High if the shoot like they did against Loyola

Also not Judge Keller, but we match up a heck of a lot better with Pitt than we do VT, IMO. Looking at their season as a whole, they are a slightly less good version of us. However, it's hard to win on the road, so we'll see how it shakes out. can't wait for tipoff!

I have to clarify, because conspiracy theorists on this site believe that I am judge Keller's burner account because I don't blame every negative thing that happens to our program on brownell.

I strongly believe that if we score more points than the other team, that we should come away with the W. Fundamentals, people. Fundamentals.

In which case, time is added to the game until Duke can register the win.

Got away with two scoring droughts vs VT … both about 4 mins.

Thinking Tigers need to avoid at least one of those and continue to play solid D and rebound. Obviously must shoot well.
The team is more athletic and potentially could play more press D and transition offense to complement their normal half court offensive and defensive sets.

You should ask by about their scoring droughts. Or duke's scoring droughts when they lost to na state that same night. What about Miami's scoring droughts when they lost to GT on the road?
It's almost as if scoring droughts are part of the game.

Good teams minimize them through execution (and great players can more readily pull a team out of one). Execution through a few transition baskets can be very helpful to break the drought and change momentum. Absent of a great scorer, give me a transition basket or give me a draft …. to get me through the drought.

since the two they had on Wednesday totaled 8 or 9 minutes and equated to an 18-0 run.

Also got away with passing the ball to a freshman who was 3-5 on free throws when Va Tech had to foul.
His 1 of 2 was what gave them a chance to tie on the final shot.
No idea why PJ passed the ball or they didn't have a plan to get it to the best free throw shooter.

I wasn't surprised because - well - Brownlee.
