Home games vs LSU, SMU, Cuse, Duke, and FSU. That looks like a gauntlet considering it mostly consists of teams on the rise. Who knows what kind of magic Belichick can do in one year and we can expect some level of bounce back with FSU with amount of resources they can throw at their problems. The Defense will have to return to its usual level and Cade will have to play great all year for us to have a reasonable chance of surviving that schedule.

I think our "downfall" has changed our perception of what a "gauntlet" is....

that's not really a tough schedule if we get back to Elite.
with as bad as our record is vs 8-4 or better teams the last 4 years that schedule could spell trouble though.
need to see what happens with our team with portal adds & deducts before we can truly analyze how we'll be. If we return our offensive weapons at the skill positions........get or have an explosive speed RB..........and FIX the defense then the opportunity is there.

All these games are winnable if we field a defense that can actually stop the run game.

Probably a 2 or 3 loss season even if we play pretty well. We would have to be light out to even escape the season with just 1 loss.

Definitely looks good now. Hard to tell in today's landscape but it's a good looking schedule based on what we saw this season.
Ga Tech is definitely going to be a challenge. Cuse could be the surprise team of the year and BC has it going too. It could be a lot like the sec was this year. Solid top to bottom and we better bring our A game each week.
FSU had, and always has had highly rated players. Their defense wasn't bad this year considering they played the whole game.
Our offense should be outstanding as long as Cade stays upright. I have different thoughts on our D than what's been posted frequently. I'm not convinced we'll see an overhaul. Part of me thinks our problems was some of Dabo's stubbornness the last couple years. One being his insistent use of pwoo on the edge.

It's not crazy. Deion did with Colorado. They did with SMU this year. FSU became elite in one season and then lost it all in one season. If you open the pocket book, you can buy an entire team. Whether or not it pans out depends on luck.

SC and Lou....will be completely dismantled after this season due to attrition. Teams are built via portal.

I type too slow but as I posted above, it's potluck in today's landscape. Look at fsu. So who knows what scar and lou, or any team will become.
But ga tech is building and recruiting great. Cuse may have found them a coach. BC and unc could easily be 9-3 teams. Unc wasn't that far off this year. If Bella keeps the players and does well in the portal, they could be ranked.
At this point, I'd bet 5 teams on our schedule will be ranked t25.

Not really a gauntlet honestly. Sure GA Tech and SC on the road could be difficult. There is a reason SC went after Noland, they're not confident in Sellers throwing the ball. Sure he's a great athlete but an average passer at best. If SC keeps running him they risk serious injury to him. Sellers may even need to change positions to sniff an NFL roster. Maybe a hybrid TE.

Disagree with you on sellers. Sure he redshirted but he didn't get snaps as a true freshman. Stayed mainly scout team. So, he had one year. I watched all his games, he progression was great. How many said cade wasn't chit after his sophomore year?
As for ga tech. Have you followed what they've done? The players they have. They'll challenge for the acc.

Sellers has the arm talent but he's a rage at getting ball out on time and inaccurate as hell. SC doesn't go into the portal to get another QB if they had full confin him. Ashford is still there as well. Alot of film on Sellers now as well, a sophomore slump is inevitable.

sorry - this is a poor take. first, Ashford is not here - he is gone, and our next 2 quarterbacks are freshman. Air Noland was brought in as a more experienced backup Sellers passing stats are better than you state, several 300+ games in the air and a number of 240-250 YPG; and remember he was a redshirt freshman. He will be better as a sophomore He will be hard to handle

yards per attempt than Cade. SC just mostly runs, so he doesn’t have a ton of yards or TDs. He’s a solid passer for a freshman. They lose a lot of players so they might not be as good, time will tell, but Sellers is pretty darn good.

We will have the better QB in every one of those games next season. If we can just figure out whatever ails the defense we should be favored in every game.

This shows you how far we've fallen that these are considered tough games.
