I've seen guys do it in their promos, TJ Moore did it after his TD, and TJ Parker did it on the sidelines after Stephiylan's sack. For us old folks, what does it mean?

Arch did it after a TD a couple weeks ago, wiped "snot" from his nose and flung it, with the thumbs down. That basically means "I'm nasty" or whatever. Could mean a lot of different things depending on what precedes it. Don't try and understand Gen Z, because you wont be able to (I graduated in 2016 and don't understand half of it) just take it as a celebration and trash talk.

Back in old Rome, when the emperor did thumbs down you were history. Probably something along those lines by the guys today I would imagine.

Here's Ricardo doing it in his promo. I've seen AV do it to after a PBU. I kinda get it if you're a DB and you make a play. I assumed it means your offensive play failed. However, I'm not sure what it means after you catch a TD. The Defense failed?
