Bottom line..as it should be ...pretty much depends on Cade and IF he can become the star quarterback everyone hoped he would be. It really isn 't anymore complicated than that.

I believe it depends at least equally as much on Riley. He needs to make the offense work with what he has and this year we should have the talent to make it work.

I think it depends more on the OL and receivers giving Klubnik some help.

If you go back and look at Klubnik's performance when the OL gave him time, Klubnik usually did well, despite having an injury decimated receiver corps. But the OL frequently failed to protect Klubnik and receivers either failed to get separation or dropped balls. For example, for most of the Gator Bowl, Clemson's OL failed to protect Klubnik (6 sacks IIRC) and so Klubnik was constantly harassed. But on the final 2 drives, UK mostly rushed 3 and played coverage, at which time, Klubnik picked them apart (going 8-for-9, IIRC) and leading 2 TD drives.

Also can we avoid the dumb fumbles we had last year. If we replayed just the plays where we fumbled inside our 10 yd line we would have easily won 11 games.

I think this is the point many have forgotten about. If we did not have the turnovers that led to direct points ( scoop & scores and pick 6s), we would have easily beaten Duke & upset the #4 team, giving us 10 reg season wins. Not to mention, Miami’s 99 yard fumble return which could have changed the game in our favor, and the NCST pick 6. If those two turnovers also don’t happen, we very well could have had a 12-0 season.
Now, we would have looked like a bad 12-0 team, no doubt about that—kind of like FSU 2014.
There’s certainly more than just turnovers, but fix the turnovers and we become a better team.

With a healthy receiving core that was not present with last year's offense that forced Cade to make some unwise decisions trying to carry his offense on his back. Greg McElroy or any of the ESECPN talking heads hasn't ever seen Cade play a down of college FB with a slightly improved O Line, with a healthy receiving core, or with the elite guys that were brought in through recruiting in TJ Moore, Bryant Wesco, or Christian Bentancur play a down of college FB, but neither have we seen as much talent as Cade will have at his disposal. ESECPN, ABC, CBS, NBC, nor have we seen Cade Klubnik play a down of college FB with that much talent surrounding him until this coming season. So we can't talk about or say anything about something that none of us know a thing about concerning Cade surrounded with elite talent all around him.
Personally I've only seen film with Cade performing with what he needs to win FB games in his HS film, and if his HS film gives us any kind of a look a look at what Cade can play like or be with good players around him, well then, I'm really getting excited to see that young man perform at the college level with really good FB players helping him to be all he can be with a Tiger Paw on the side of his helmet bc Cade hasn't had that chase as yet in a Clemson uniform, but he will get that chance at the start of our 2024 FB season, I can barely wait to see him making the talking heads eat crow while saying wow, we didn't expect to see this from Cade Klubnik!!!

On offense coaches need to expect and demand they score 10 points in each of the first three quarters and 7 points in the fourth quarter at a minimum per game. With the expected defense of the Tigers this should easily roar in '24/'25. Don't settle for anything less.

FSU went undefeated last season. We started in the top 15 and lost four games. We've been given the benefit of the doubt to start every season the past few years only to go out and underperform and fail to live up to our preseason rankings. We probably shouldn't be calling other teams overrated.

The only team you should care about going into the 2024 season is Clemson bc I'm thinking we will see Cade light it up in 2024 bc he will have everything that a QB needs to make himself look like a super star QB!!! I've always heard since I became a FB fan, is that an average QB can make his receivers look really good, and that good receivers can make a QB look like a super star. The pieces are there, make it happen Tigers!!!

I agree with most of what he says, albeit a short bit. QB consistency is obvious, but turnovers were, to me, the worst. Can't do that and win. Period

Like previous years, it'll all come down to QB play. The defense will be good enough to compete with anyone, the O-Line will be better, the WR core should be better, and the RB room with Mafah being the primary now should def help. Cade just has to do his job and play some ball.

QB play/turnovers is Captain Obvious obvious...even an SEC dolt like McElroy could point that out.
Better O Line play, better WR play "should" translate to more explosive plays on offense.
Defense will be fine--even better--than last year.

But expect more positive Clemson spin as UGA game gets closer -- ESPN will spin it into massive viewership. Good for Clemson (as well as UGA).

and that ain't chump change considering our last 5 - ND, Ga Tech, UNC, SCar, and KY. 2 ranked and all of them wanting to stick it to us but good.
Sleep on Clemson at your own peril.

Did I miss something on Miami? They were not great last year and I did not see some kind of major influx of talent, but I have not paid that much attention. Did I miss something with the Canes and their 2000 fans that come to games?

Their hype is based on back to back top 10 recruiting classes along with buying one of the top 3 qbs in the portal in Cam Ward. He's definitely a stud.

We all know our defense is near elite but will the offense rise up and will Qb Cade stop making these head scratching mistakes. We will see.
