I need some cell phone help.

Yesterday, my phone went offline. I thought that the towers may be down. However, MfOjr's phone was fine. When we got to the house, it went back online and stayed out until I came to work. I normally turn off WiFi and everything works fine. This morning, when I got to work, I did the normal thing and it is offline again. What is causing this?

It sounds like your sim card may be broken. Same thing happened to me a few years ago. I would guess that your phone works when you get home because it connects to your Wifi which doesn't need a sim card to work. Have you tried connecting to Wifi while at work?

Most people don't know that their cell phone can connect to the internet at home or anywhere you can sign into wifi w/0 a sim card. If you get a new cell phone and use your old sim card in new phone, you can still use your old phone to surf internet. You just can't make or receive calls or use the text feature. I use my old phone all the time at home to surf internet while my new phone is on charger or I want to conserve battery on new phone.

wi-fi, but not when relying on the cell towers, go to your settings and make sure mobile data hasn't gotten switched off. Mine did that recently...just did it on it's on!

Turn your phone around. If there's an Apple on it, there's your problem.

Did you check settings to see if you accidentally turned of your Data?
Also you can do a hard reboot, you will have to google the buttons to hold for your phone model, try this if turning on and off doesnt help.

May want to check the battery strength in settings. When my battery went down I was told to get a new phone but I went to battery plus and had them put in a new battery and was able to keep my phone without transferring everything.

Who is the manufacture of your phone?
Android or IOS?
when you say offline... Does that mean it is not turning on? Or wifi not working? or no phone calls?

Based on other comments. Turn off all other apps, disconnect from User Account, drain battery via bluetooth.
After dead battery, recharge phone, restart phone, check settings, if working as expected. Reconnect to Apple or Google User account.

It's pretty much impossible to diagnose your issue with the info you've provided

I would run by your carrier's retail store and ask for help.

New sim card may be needed. They should put one in for you at one of their stores.
