other teams signals to neutralize the offense. They openly admitted it after Maryland game and couldn't figure out how to stop Cole Stoudt. Seems like they knew what play we were running all night. Notice how Jimbo stands behind three people with towels to keep anyone from figuring out their signalling.. Also, he comes from the Nick Saban coaching tree and they have been accused of using a coach that knows MSST signals when shutting them out a couple of weeks ago. Maybe a bad conspiracy excuse, but I think Clemson needs to do more to self scout the signals and tendencies of our offense.

It looked like FSU knew every play Clemson called because

FSUs defense was so dang fast. Our O line was pushed back five yards every snap.

I agree, but any time signals are in use the possibility exists that the code has been broken.

That leads to a question that came to me when Joyner was showed on the side lines when the announcers made a statement on how siked up he was. Are these kids ever checked after games for drugs? Joyners eyes and pupils were big. That alone made me think that he was jacked up on Speed. Just maybe he had been jacked on Adderall. A 20mg of Adderall would surely have made them much quicker, sharper, and more focused. Probably not, but he did look jacked up.

why does everyone try to come up with excuses after a loss that sound crazy. why do we have trouble admitting we got stomped and they were better? because we were ranked higher? because we thought we were nc material.(Pasadena here we come)because we fooled our self into thinking we could win a nc this year? because our hc told us we were as good as anybody in the country? well he should know, he sees them everyday right? could he have been wrong? were we all wrong and buying the hype? all I know is we got killed by a better team and a better group of coaches. period. I could care less about signals,noise,tv,espn,abc,by-week. over and done. killed. nc gone! no excuses, next!!

I know... . five star athletes don't mean anything.

5* athletes coming out of big time HS that play in a competitive league means a lot. Many more times than not, they turn out to be awesome college athletes under good to great position coaches. We do see 2 and 3 star HS athletes come into college and excel to a 5* grade under great position coaching that leads people to saying how did we miss out on this or that guy. I think that a recruiter scout with a great eye for talent would be worth their weight in gold. I see it a lot when NFL teams show what colleges their players come from. They have a lot of them that come from division 2 schools. It would have been pretty easy to have gotten those guys to Clemson if we had a recruiter scout that would have recognized their talent.

It is definitely a possibility. Breaking code has always been part of the game. You give a bunch of statistics students enough game film of the signals and the play that is run after those signals; they will eventually figure it out.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah but that said they still have to be good enough to make

the plays after they know what is coming. Look I want to believe any thing but what actually happened. FSU came out hit us in the mouth and we did not respond. I hate it and the truth does not make it any better. We have to get up off the floor and respond at Maryland. Let's talk about it through the night and wake up tomorrow and start talking about Maryland and how we are going to get back on top. We have to put this behind us or no one else will.

I thought Clemson had at least 2 people relaying plays

to Tahj, but only one was the actual and the others decoys.

They are, but the system is still not fool proof. There has never been a code system that cant be broken if given enough time. Our drone plane that Iran captured is proof of that.

.....we've run the same plays over and over with no creativity in the past several games and everyone knows tajh will run it, or throw it out to the side.

I'm not even sure our own players understand the code. We have been moving much, much slower this year and our receivers looked like they weren't on the same page as Boyd all night last night.

to me too, like we did not know some of our own plays

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

LOL....at times it Did look like the FSU DB's were waiting

Oct 21, 2013, 8:46 AM

in the spot where our WR's were Supposed to be.....

A couple of picks went straight to DB's with no WR in sight.
