Bama got lucky to beat Auburn.
Teams in that situation lose 99.9% of the time. People also forget FSU will have the 2nd string QB back for the playoffs.

I agree. They were 4 heading into this week, and they won. I just don't see 7 or 8 (TX and Bama) jumping them. I think SEC is left out.

NO WAY the SEC get's left out. I would laugh my #### off if they did. Unfortunately the media loves them too much. That's their cash cow. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if both get in.
IMO after that pathetic ACC game last night, the four teams that make it in are Michigan, Washington,
Alabama and Texas. FSU with the ACC conference championship gets left out.
If FSU does make it, they would get clobbered. I've just not been that impressed this year.

There is really no right answer but obvious tiebteaker is choosing a 13-0 FSU team
Really is that FSU can barely score and I just don't think they could beat Bama or or Texas or Georgia right now... It'd take a ln insane defensive effort with a touchdown or two.
You can use the .. the almost lost to auburn argument... Bc then you have to microanalyze every game.
The FSY backup isn't very good either.

You just don’t know that until they are put on a field together and you can’t leave a an undefeated power 5 champion out of the playoffs. Period. You may as well have Vegas odd makers, who had Oregon a 10 pt favorite, decide the field.

A Power 5 team with a ton have great football history at that.
This would really be unprecedented and disgraceful. Honestly if they get left out, the teams in the conference should band together and boycott the bowl season.

Clemson missed a chip shot, 29 yard field goal (over 80% of these are made by college kickers) with 1:45 remaining in the game that ultimately would have given FSU a loss... So you could say that FSU got lucky to win that game in Death Valley because we clearly outplayed them but had two plays where FSU "got lucky" (scoop and score/Clemson's missed field goal).
Point being - you have to look at all the factors in determining the best 4 teams. Looking at how FSU's passing game (less than 50% completions with both 2nd or 3rd String QBs) and overall offense (avg 221 yards per game) has fared since losing Jordan should not be ignored. How much do you put that into an overall assessment of FSU - that is what is up to the CFP committee.
