1) President Obama wasn't here. Folks like you were booing at the mere mention of the word "president."
2) This wasn't about President Obama. This was about the young people who were taking an oath to defend our country.
Imagine some poor Granny who there with her camcorder to record the moment Little Johnny is took his oath and the sound is marred by boos which have nothing to do with her grandson. Kind of ruins the moment, doesn't it?

not the person in that office. And for fans to "boo" when people are committing to put their lives on the line at the request of that office is a slap in their face. I don't care who the president is, you don't boo when people are taking an oath like that. it is reprehensible.

I served in no branch of the military
Oct 24, 2012, 3:45 PM

nor do I falsely claim that I have. But many in my family have served, and I am no stranger to military obligations. I see you claim in other posts to be military (or former military), and take you at your word for having served, because if you have falsified that point to bolster your claim to having some right to "boo" during the oath taken by those who are following you into service, then that is even more despicable than booing in the first place. For your service to the country, I offer my sincere thanks. But let me pose this question to you. hypothetically, if someone had booed at a portion of your induction into the military, how would have you responded? And to add onto that, what if it was during a time when you were being sworn in under a president you respected? Would have you been pleased/amused/satisfied if you had committed to placing your life on the line only to be met by boos at some point during this solemn oath? because if you truly are former military, then you have stood where those men were standing in some capacity, and to boo in that moment is selfish to them and their families, and childish of you.
And to go ahead and address this as well, given I have seen others mention this point in other posts, save us the BS about 1st amendment rights. no one is infringing on that right. You have every right to boo, but do not in the same breath come in and wonder why people think you are acting like a two toothed redneck who marries his cousin. Just as you exercised your first amendment right to boo at the office of the presidency while people were being inducted into the military, I exercise my right vigilantly to consider you a classless and disrespectful idiot, just the same as the rest of the country now sees a large contingency of our fan base because of yours and others actions. I re-iterate. You respect the office. not the person seated in the office, regardless of whether it is President Regan, President Carter, President Bush, or President Obama.

I do understand the right of freedom of speech. However, I whole heartedly disagree with ruining a MILITARY induction ceremony for innocent people that have nothing to do with our feelings on the president. I personally do not care for obama nor his presidency but I don't agree with what happened.

fact that you booed during the ceremony ended up reflecting bad on Clemson University. How would you have liked people booing during your induction ceremony?
One of the many things that sets Clemson apart is that we provide a family atmosphere and are known for having first class hospitable fans...ever heard of our old mascot the "Country Gentleman"?
By the way, thanks for yours and your buddies service.

Also accusing someone else of hiding after you abandoned ship in the other thread when everyone made you look like the complete moron that you are is quite comical.

President Obama.
You can boo Obama the whole game for all I care and stand out in front of the White House and say what you want about him.
However, I don't believe you should boo the Office of the President because it represents all presidents past and future. Those kids were swearing an oath to protect the US Constitution and your right to boo President Obama. The US President that they may actually take orders from may be Mitt Romney by the time they finish training and put on the uniform.
