Levon Kirkland, Wayne Simmons, Ashley Sheppard, Ed McDaniel, Johnny Rembert, John Johnson, Jeff Davis, Jimmy Williamson, Larry Hefner, etc...
I know we have a pile of high 3, 4, and 5 star linebackers now, but for those of you who actually saw most of the great Clemson LBs mentioned above play, do you see any of our current crew that are of that caliber? I don't. I like Anthony, and he's a good one, but he hasn't jumped out like most of the above, at least not to me; hopefully I'm wrong.
I don't believe that it's a matter of experience, as it was apparent with almost all of the above that they were stars, and it was apparent very, very early, almost from the get-go.
As mind boggling as it seems, I'm beginning to think that we have missed badly, with maybe a few exceptions, on our LB recruits over a period of years.

them and that we'll start filling the holes and blowing up plays. I think Anthony will be that caliber....but not there yet. Alot of fans were expecting a miracle with our D but unfortunately it will be a work in progress.

Did you not watch Anthony today? Or Willard last week?

Just curious - did you ever see any of the guys I mentioned play?
Not trying to start an argument or be overly critical of our players, just making an observation. In my opinion, Anthony is not on the same level as those guys, at least yet. He may prove me wrong. After him, I think there is a big drop off.

It is still too early to tell with the current crop. For the

seniors, yes, they didn't flourish. However, Willard will finish strong.
Anthony is going to be great. Lateek is going to be very good. Justin Parker is going to be good. Tony Steward is getting bacK into the the game, if he stays healthy I bet he's good or great. B.J. Goodson, a freshman, looked good today. Kellen Jones has 3 years left and looks to be very good. The light might come on for Quandon to finish strong.
I don't know if we'll have someone who can take the game over, but I bet there are at least two NFL players in our current crop.
As they develop with the defensive line. Our front 8 are going to be very good, in my opinion.
Go Tigers!

Used to literally take over games, esp Keith. He used to impose his will on an entire offense.
