Before the Internet when the only people who had to listen to a bunch of idiots' hot takes were their long-suffering spouses and neighbors.
We didn't win then like we do now but the vitriol, pettiness and hate weren't on the menu (unless your spouse or neighbor was one of those idiots).
I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Look at it like this, the Internet is like this really cool new neighborhood pool we got. Everybody splashing around, having a good time, getting along, all until some classless, know it all, idiot shows up, hangs his ### over the edge and drops a giant turd in the pool. Now, nobody wants to be in the pool except the idiot who jumps in and enjoys swimming around with his turd.

into Tigernet. Most of the posters are not rational people. They look at this as an opportunity to display their intelligence. How many times have we seen "Dabo doesn't care he has his money?" If money was his motivation why did he forgo a higher salary so OC and DC could have better salaries. If money is his motivation why would he not always play the "better player" to give himself the bonuses that go with the CFP and national championship. Dabo's record speaks for itself, one of the best coaches of all time statistically.
Many of the posters are trolls, just trying to get things stirred up.
In the past I compared Tigernet to the bull sessions we used to have in the dorms. Tigernet just gives us a bigger audience to show our ignorance.

Thank you for the sane reply.
I usually just go somewhere else when I see this kind of unnecessary smack talking going on but for some reason, this time, it just got to me.
I guess I'm just disappointed with the general quality of humankind. It was a lot easier not having it broadcast far and wide before the Internet.
