the Estrogen loading regimen has had a deleterious effect on his brain chemistry and decision making i.e. Critical Bomani Theory incident:despite being married for nearly 30 years, KH decides homosexual liaisons with a co-worker on and off the Bristol campus with sports commentator and admitted racist, Bomani Jones is a good idea. Hopefully his transformer guru Kaitlyn Jenner can guide Herbie through these dark times.

Interesting. I am surprised for sure. I wonder if it’s more due to E$PN being in less homes as they said or if it really has more to do with a loss of interest from fans due to all the nonsense going on. I know I didn’t watch one minute of it.

I also believe interest is waning as the narrative has soured with the portal/NIL.
And I also believe that Ohio State/Notre Dame was a snoozer matchup. No great storylines, no real doubt as to who was going to win.
Nevermind that Ohio State is the brand equivalent of a Nilla wafer.

I think college football is less appealing now than a few years ago. There are fewer of the David vs Goliath storylines or characters you want to cheer for and it’s more like rich, bloated, spoiled celebrities tussling with each other.

Beyond the gridiron, it's even spilled over into the booth.
People can't relate to guys like Herbstreit (for lack of a better, more recent example) who make about $15M/year and yet haggle with the very fans that drive the ratings that pay their salaries.
You get talked down to enough times, you start tuning them out. See also MSNBC in the political arena. FOX, too. CNN, too. WaPo ... NYT ... it's a long list.
I can barely hang on with Clemson, only because of the way Coach Swinney stuck with his convictions even as the spineless mob clamored for him to blindly jump on the NIL/Portal bandwagon.
Otherwise, I'd be out fishing. The fish may not always bite, but, they also don't ask me for more money every time I flip one into the boat.

When it started out it was cute, but the dog thing has got to stop. It’s like they need another narrative other than the game to draw viewers. Kinda like the NFL and Taylor Swift. I tuned in to watch the game, not all of these lame side shows.

Taylor Swift.
And Travis Kelce/Kelce brothers.
Actually the whole Kansas City Chiefs Swift/Kelce love fest.

All reasons why (except for the inauguration - I disagree with that one) I questioned whether the thing would drive ratings the way the folks in Bristol hoped and prayed it would. But didn't.

I know that my son in law and daughter use a streaming service and they could not get the game. Sometime they can get ESPN and sometimes they can't so people dropping cable, direct and dish certainly affect ratings. Bottom line, the game was not a great one and it was still the most watched game of the year which means big bucks.

Otherwise, ESPN's a relic.
I don't know that people are tuning out college football to watch NFL. I'm the opposite. Although the more college football starts to look like NFL football, the more I find myself wanting to read a book instead. Or go fishing. Or both.

There is something to that. Some of the gamecock & SEC fans I know, don't believe there is college FB outside the SEC. If there is not a SEC team involved it is not worth watching.
