My point is simple. The SEC wants to game the system as much as possible to ensure victory. His first complaint is seeding. How long before he makes the argument that the ACC OR Big12 doesnt deserve an automatic bid? If Texas loses to Oh St, we will be looking at a title game without the SEC. Sankey will not allow that to happen in the future.

Yup. I think it's hot garbage but the SEC/Big10 have all the power. Sankey knows this too. The more teams from his conference he can get in, the higher the chance of victory. Im not saying the sky is falling, but in 2026 expect more changes that put a squeeze on any team not SEC/Big10 or Notre Dame.

I hear you, but I respectfully disagree. He can't predict any SEC teams in

the Natty. Even with reseeding after the first round, which I agree that it should be reseeded. But I also want all playoff games, except the Natty, to take place at someone's home stadium. There were no other SEC teams that deserved a spot in CFP this year with 3 Losses. And that will probably be the same year after year. I wouldn't be surprised and expansion to 16 teams within the next few years. Which would work out better for those 3 Loss SEC teams to make a spot. Good convo.

Fair points. I disagree on the seeding though, but that's ok. Sankey isn't trying to predict which teams win, he's trying to guarantee an outcome for his conference. As for the seeding, why should it be restocked. The NCAA basketball tirney doesnt reseed and that seems to work out just fine. Reseeding only increases the chance for the bye week teams to increase favorable matchups.i.e. SEC Champs.

Agree. I think it's probably pretty simple. If Notre Dame votes with SEC/Big10, they allow they to keep their seat at the adult table.

None of the SEC teams had to play each other which is what he wanted.
