out some of my very best English prose, and send that letter to the Clemson President which ultimately forced Tommy Bowden to resign, or be fired, depending on what story you believe.
The future was uncertain back then, but we knew the PRESENT was no longer acceptable. So, Clemson took a leap of faith, and gave an untested assistant coach a shot.
The rest, as we now know, is HISTORY.

agreed with. We had gone beyond the "Who can we get that is better" phase, and into the "We have got to stop Clemson from being the punchline in national announcer jokes" territory. Something had to be done.
My letter probably went into an "unread" round vertical open topped file with all those others. Butt, until someone can PROVE otherwise, I take the Joementia approach, and try to speak it into being.
