I mentioned the bond market the other day as being a huge danger sign

Well, it appears the bond market may have been what caused Trump to finally fold. If the bond market crashes and fails, the dollar is on the chopping block next. The markets are the least important of the three. It goes dollar, treasuries/bonds, stocks in importance. Trump blinked, finally, when he saw signs his bluff was not only being called, but faith in the dollar was evaporating.

It appears Japan was the largest seller of bonds, dumping HUGE holdings. Many expected China to do something like this, but it appears to have been mostly Japan. What's interesting is other bond markets in Australia, UK, etc. started to see abnormally high selling, meaning the sentiment was spreading.

Trump does not hold all the cards he thinks he holds. And he darn near ruined our biggest asset. And other countries CAN RUIN THE DOLLAR, if they choose. And Trump was starting to force that choice.

Not to mention the probability of recession. And the deficit still looms….

There’s a lot of challenges on the horizon for Trump and his economic advisers. Are they up to it ?

They're trying to fix something that isn't broken.

Only thing that needs to be fixed is Congress.

Trump’s brain is broken. He blames EVERY American for his loss and disgrace in 2020. So for those Trumpers who think they are safe, he’ll get around to you if he lasts long enough. It’s immigrants, intellectuals, and elites right now.

The German President pretty much said the same this morning, that "America is a position of weakness", and he was being polite. Anyway, they announced they are going to target big Pharma, and few other industries, and go from there, citing they do not want to hurt the American people, but will do what they have to.

BTW, not sure if mentioned, I heard Trump raised tariffs on China to 150% today. This is turning into an episode of Pawn Stars with Chumlee running the shop.
