had blood pressure issues. I reckon the bit of walking I do helps with that. High blood pressure kept my dad out of Vietnam. He was going to sign up before his card got picked so he could have some degree of choice, never did pass a physical, but also never had BP issues until his heart attack in 2012.

All in all is seems what is being done is the opposite of pushing the envelope. Instead of little by little seeing what they can get away with, they are hitting everything with a broadside, saying oops, then trying to patch the most serious holes.
I also think you are right about the publicity angle and know that half the audience will stop thinking about it as soon as they have a "gotcha" headline.
