I don't agree that we've taken "eat pressure like candy" 'out of context'. I remember the phrase back then and liked it because it seemed to reflect a loose team that had just overcome a big deficit. Therein is the real problem. Since then, we have lost 13 of 23 so the statement seems a bit ludicrous now. What happened coach?

Coach Lee,does not have to give a reason** he is trying to keep a bunch of young ""kids"" motivated and you guys jump his beans for a comment he made -- sorta acting like them ""coots"" when they jump on Dabo, for all the quotes he makes ( just sayin' ) _ this team & coach need all the support they can get right now, if we are "GOING TO PLAY ON" -- Go Tigers // Beat the Cavs !!!!

Personally, I accept his explanation, he was about to get beat and talked his team back to a win. Even adults get really excited for the young men that they coach!!!

I recall our Tigers had recently won a handful of games in that fashion when Coach Lee made that statement. So, IMO it was pretty much a blanket statement. I wished he'd not said that but it's not like it was out of line. It's just that things like that can come back to haunt you (bite you in the behind ) and give other teams and coaches something to talk about.
To sum this up his intentions were probably to give the guys credit and confidence but better to leave unsaid.
I'm only superstitious when it comes to baseball(it's traditional ). ?? I was pretty sure a jinx was coming.
I'm definitely still in coach Lee's corner and confident our program has a bright future.

WHAT IS even more amazing is how some of the morons on this site have taken the statement as some kind of gospel. but hey i remember when the mot dissected every word that came out of dabos mouth. how is that working out for you critics that seem to hang on every word a coach speaks.

Monte you need to be worried about why your team full of experienced players can't hit the ball.
Their approach with RISP is not very good and since it's been this way all season.
I would look at a different approach like when it's an 2-0 count take a strike.
Just about every time they have the green light and it's not working.
I believe they get an even better pitch if it goes to 3-0.
And if it's 2-1 heck they still making the pitcher throw more pitches.
