but the oconee/pickens area for the month so far had lightning on the 6th, 9th, 10th 11th and 12th. I can't tell what time of day without doing some more research so on some of these days it could have occurred at in the evening or during the night.

lightening, the reality is you cannot practice as effectively and efficiently in wet mud.

Georgia had the opportunity to build a full-size indoor practice facility, but Richt did not want a full-size facility if it came at the expense of losing some of the four practice fields, which it would have.
I bet he would change his mind now if he could.

Especially since we're coming off of 4-5 years of drought...it's like our athletic department has a crystal ball. Maybe if I give more to IPTAY they can tell me where to get one of those....

when there were rainy periods like we're having now - they just had to practice in the rain and mud.
Then the practice area in Jervey was built which helped some but nothing like the indoor facility we have now.
Just watch - it will probably be sunny and hot the week of the 31st and 95 degrees on gameday and 85 degrees at kick-off time.
