1.
I liked it when the ACC and most conferences had only 8 teams and only ONE team made the NCAA tournament that only had 16 teams at the time. It makes no sense at all that a team can be national champions and not champions of their OWN CONFERENCE !!.Then the NIT was actually an accomplishment as well.
2.I liked it when there was no playoff in football and the Bowl Games actually meant something without the conference affiliations and cross country matchups in the games were interesting. Then we could argue about a TRUE NATIONAL CHAMPION when all was said and done.
3. I liked it before all the endless replays when the refs made the calls and that was it ! If players and coaches don't make more mistakes than the refs we will all be ok. The game is played by humans
let it be CALLED by humans !
4. I loved it before the shot clock in basketball when more coaching strategy came into play. It's HARD to HOLD THE BALL anyway !!
5. I loved it when a DB in football was allowed to ACTUALLY PLAY DEFENSE without a flag flying everywhere !
6. I loved it when if you had the ball 1st and goal inside the 5 yard line you ran it 3 or 4 times w/o getting in a shotgun . If you can't run it 4 times inside the 5 and score YOU DON"T DESERVE TO SCORE !!
