But I thought I’d get on here and share how blessed I’m feeling. Sometimes we get too focused on our careers and other things around us that we forget to pause and just reflect on what we are thankful for. I’ve been pretty silent the last couple of weeks because I welcomed my second child into the world! I have an 18 month old son who is amazing and I love beyond words. This time we welcomed a little girl into the world, and buddy, it instantly hit differently (kind of feel guilty to say that). I’ve always had a good sense of humor and been pretty personable, but also pretty stern and straight to the point. After having my daughter, I think I’ve gone a little soft. My son all of a sudden can’t do anything wrong, and staying up all night with my daughter feels more like a blessing than a burden (anyone who has kids knows how hard these first few weeks/months are on your mind). I just feel so blessed and want to thank God for a healthy baby!
I hope you all are doing great as well!
P.S. How about our men’s basketball and soccer teams!!!! Let’s keep it rolling!

Agreed. My daughter was pretty easy. My son, I filter his calls now based on the date (to stop him from asking for a loan (handout)). I live them both to the moon and back. I’m glad they’re grown!

We just had our 3rd girl 2 months ago. It no doubt turns you a little soft lol! It's way harder to tell your daughter no/punish them than it is for a son.

becoming a parent is truly a blessing!
I became a dad when I was 23 years old and I felt overwhelmed, frighten and all the emotions you could think of, but when I held my son in my arms for the first time... I felt blessed and the fear faded away. My wife and I have been blessed to have four sons and we are so thankful for our sons.
If I can give you one piece of advice, it would be this:
spend as much time as you possibly can with your children. They do grow up fast.Play with them, teach them, tell them silly jokes that make them laugh, be a good example for them. I know when you are up pacing the floor in the middle of the night and are exhausted it can be tough, but when you get older and the kids have moved out and you don't get to see them as much as you like, you will look back on that time and smile. I have a lot of regrets in my life, but the times I spent with my sons is not one of them.

Congratulations! Cherish the moment, because in a moment, it's gone. I can't say how many times I wished that I could go back to those 3 AM feedings, and to a lesser degree, changing dirty diapers, and all the good times that come with raising a child. However; be careful. It is an extremely dangerous world, we live in now. And I never considered you an unpopular poster. Any way congratulations again! God bless you and your family.

Only thing I'm going to take exception with is the dad's saying "nothing better than being a dad". I was married early, a dad at 21, 2nd son born when I was 24. Loved my boys, grew up with them when I was still very athletic.
The one thing better than being a dad, is being a Pop...3 grandkids that live 10 houses away. You want to know how God loves us? Have a grandchild...its the perfect example!

Take care of them both. Tune the world out and let your heart listen to what God says. You wont go wrong. I know that my daughter changed everything for me. The world stopped and most, not all, of what I do is for her. Whatever you do, be PATIENT. Enjoy every moment. If they are doing something wrong, be patient and teach. Everything that you do, and how you do it, they learn and reflect back at you, or others. So many people ask "what is the meaning of life?" Well, you have it. Love em hard and love em without regret and they will be fine.....

You have a beautiful family. When we started ours I was convinced God was going to give me a boy. I found out my first would be a girl while my wife was having an ultrasound. For a moment I was disappointed. But then I realized how nice it could be and let me tell you, having a daughter is absolutely amazing. She's now in her 20s, out of school and I'm still crazy about her. We've since had a second daughter and a son. My kids are so much better than I deserve. I'm always my happiest when we are all together.
You are blessed. Love them with all you got, point then in the right direction and pray over them every day. You've no idea how nice things are gonna be. I have an idea and am happy for you.
