I have to say it....Clemson allowed ND to get back into

the game by trying to go for the kill. Gillman was KILLING it at end of 3rd q with some huge runs. NO one can tell me that pass to the end zone was the right thing to do. We have the lead, we are running the ball well and the clock is our friend. I'm glad we won but wanted a beat down for 4 quarters. Call me Greedy.

So which way do you want?
Quite a few people on here are griping because Clemson was too conservative down the stretch and let Notre Dame back into the game. Now we've got people second-guessing because the coordinators were too aggressive and "went for the kill."
Bottom line is, in a big game - especially one played in conditions like that one was - people are going to get tense, and any call you make can be the wrong call. Clemson had a big lead and tried to sit on it and not make a mistake...ended up working, if just barely.
Bottom line was, Clemson won...however ugly it was. This bunch is also YOUNG - Watson, Gallman, and Scott (our undisputed playmakers on offense) are all sophomores, and our left tackle is a true freshman. The four most key positions on offense have a grand total of maybe 30 starts between them.
Next big game, they'll have a big scalp on the wall to remember, and it won't be as tense for them. Just how it goes.

If the pass hadn't been there, it never would have been called.
Geez. Get a life and let the coaches do their job.
BTW, we WON.

The pass was there, the receiver was open.
Underthrown ball and the receiver didn't come back to fight for it. I have zero problem with the call.
