.... is the spanking that the $EC took.
Don't like Thursday and Friday night games.
Bowl games / playoff games drag on.
Fewer New Years Day games.
Clemson had a great year but the players & fans missed out on a bowl atmosphere week.
I almost want to go back to 4 or 6 game playoff.

I’m afraid if we go back, they’ll just pick 2 SEC teams among the group increasing their chances of having the champion. The 12 team playoff allows the best teams to plow through. It shows the SEC isn’t as strong as ESPN and their media would have everyone believe.

Too late for eight, it’s only going to go up in the future. Won’t be satisfied until all teams in Big and SEC are in the field. Looking forward to more drug and auto TV commercials.

When has anyone seen an advertisement for some Big Pharma drug and actually called their doctor and said I want you to put me on some of that Repbutiphilanitide I saw in the third quarter?
I also like how everyone of those ads say don't take X drug if you're allergic to it. How would anyone ever know that? Lawyers throw that one in for protection I guess.

Hopefully if enough fans don't like the current 12 team playoff, it can change. I get so tired of people saying things like: it too late , the cow is out of the barn, etc. Change can be unchanged. I'm not resistant to change; I'm resistant to stupid change, and am for changing to things I like, even if that means changing back.

I think we need to stay with the 12 team playoff otherwise selection politics get involved and over the years the true best team at that point of the season may have been left out in the past. I’ve told many friends they should ditch the conference championship games and add another round to the playoffs. Just my 2 cents.

Break up the super conferences so that there are only 8-9 teams per conference, only conference champions get in, 12- 16 team (whatever) playoff. No more whining....

I don’t like the way everything drags on and 4 teams are playing in two “bowl” games. Attempting to avoid overlap with the NFL really complicates things. However, atleast in this first 12 teams format teams that wouldn’t have been included got their shot. The committee needs to figure out how the 4 teams getting a bye week is distorting competitive games. In general I wish they would restructure so there is no bye week for any teams, but 16 teams is too many.

This years format didn’t have the same feel as in the past. It felt like it took away from all other bowl games .
Maybe I’m just not as interested unless it’s out tigers playing.

All else aside, I got the same vibe. The number of playoff games devalued them in some way. The semifinals for the 4 team version seemed huge, and these games just didn’t have the same feel. Totally subjective on my part, but that’s how they felt to me.

Wife to watch all of the games. I wasn’t a fan of being in Austin as a visitor, even though it was a great trip. But finally, the national championship is being decided on the field more definitively good stuff in my book.

Yep. B1G absolutely throttled the SEC this year. B1G was 5-1 vs SEC. With 4 of the SEC teams that lost being ranked in the top 15. I don’t know if this is a blip or a trend. Maybe a blend. The SEC certainly has done their fare share of embarrassing the B1G in the past.
