Does FSU have a run game to worry about?

No JW and the 4th quarter of UGA game would seem to equate to a focus on the ground game for FSU. No one on the board seems to be considering FSU may go heavy run game in 1st half and the last time we saw that against a talented team it was not pretty. Does FSU have anything close to UGA in the run game?

No they don't, you are full of it. No where close to Georgia's run games.

this is the strategy in any game, if the defense cant stop you on the gorund, you keep running it until they do.

I have confidence that we can stop Cook/Williams Inside....

What worries me is if we have learned and gotten better since UGA and stopping the outside running game. FSU is very talented at RB but def not Gurley/Marshall/Chubbs equal...but then again not many teams have one RB as good as one of those....I think Venables would be stupid to not pressure the H3LL out of the qb and force him to make quick reads and decisions with the ball. They will def try to establish the run game but I think we will be fine there...
Karlos Williams had 23 rush for 67 yards I think against OK St...I would like to think our Def is a little better than theirs.

Dunno. UGA's OL is pretty bad. FSU's is worlds better

You don't need Gurley when you've got an OL like that.
SCAR is going to be bad against the run this year, yet they figured out how to bother that sub-par OL.

They didn't run it well against Okie St. They clearly were

trying to run more against Citadel, with some success.
Their fans seem to think they have rb's similar to Uga b/c they are 220lbs and fast.
They aren't Gurley, not even close. But they are good rb's, better than what we have.
Bottom line, beat their OL and it won't matter.

They have an Oline full of seniors only replacing the center I believe. The starting RB is 230lbs and the 2 backups are speedsters, so yes they have a running game. They also have an all American TE.
I would like to say this plays into our strength, but after the UGay game I'm not so optimistic.
This will be where the game is own or lost... And special teams.

Karlos Williams is likely the best back or 2nd best back in the ACC. Connor up at Pitt is pretty good

I think the biggest difference between GA and FSU is...

that yes FSU will try to establish the run but I believe if we shut it down early they will abandon it much quicker than GA did. GA was stopped many times in both halves on offense but stuck with the run and eventually, with the lack of production from our offense in the second half, our D tired out and began missing tackles and assignments. Jimbo has shown a tendency to go heavy on the passing game at times in my opinion. We will be fine early against the run I think but if our Offense struggles for long periods of time and FSU continues to run the football, that defense will get tired against a team that good.

If their OL is motivated and our DL isn't, they will bring it. We have to be mobile, agile, and hostile.
