There are not that many great HCs in college football. Dabo, Saban, Kiffen, Riley and Clawson to name a few. A bunch are good and a bunch are bad.

Being a head coach requires a totally different skill set than being a coordinator. Not everyone is cut out for it.

Thats just the truth. Dude, spent the last however many years needing a get back coach to keep him off the field due to the focus and intensity he used when coaching his D. That same person is going to flip to being able to Coach up all areas and go big picture as Dabo does day in and day out!?!
I hope I'm wrong for him, but I don't know that he will be able to do that.

He looked and has looked miserable and out of place on the sideline for every game. I’m not sure he can adjust his mindset. I think he needs to hyper-focus on one aspect of the game rather than big picture. This odd fit sets the stage for him being outcoached against any team equal or better than Oklahoma and its not a happy or pretty site. I’d welcome him back.
