It does seem like a giant waste of time. If he was committed that be a little different but he hasn't even narrowed it down to a final few teams or anything so what's the point of articles like that?

because the recruits follow the fan-pages and websites of the teams recruiting them. The more prominent press they get, the more they feel wanted. Plus, you have to feed the rabid masses of TigerNet with info that will cause more traffic and posts.

Commitment does not seem to mean anything these days with respect to recruiting. For many recruits announcing a commitment is code for other schools need to improve their offer($).

Yea I remember keeping up with it daily and was pumped for signing day. Now I do not believe it’s that big of deal honestly. People can come and go so easily who knows who you will have on the roster for game 1.
