I guess Dabo is way below average. As I recall, before the portal 'bamer always had a fair number of transfers after spring practice evals. It facilitated over signing every single year.

The story is basically saying a Power 5 transfer portal

player is unlikely to find themselves at another Power 5 school. Instead, in their story the player from Michigan tries for 19 months to be picked up, and he eventually winds up at Troy. The piece also says that only around 27% of transfer portal players make it back on another Power 5 program.

Hope all the negative, it only happens to Clemson, folks read this. Needless to the numbers of 19 portal guys per school show it clearly is not just us. It also shows that there aren't many homeruns hit with the portal.

a risk to the Power 5 players and their ability to transfer to another Power 5 school. Again, the transfer numbers from one Power 5 to another Power 5 school is around 27%. Another 26% in the portal wind up at a G-5 school, and the balance to lesser schools.

Not accurate. There are two portals: One is where Top 10 teams actively recruit best players at a position of need from another top school who never really hit the portal as a free agent and the other portal is what this article describes which is the disenchanted former 3/4 stars who didn’t pan out.

actively recruiting each other. Sounds completely made up. Not to mention the fact that the top 10 changes almost every week.
If you got something that explains that process, post it.

you mentioned 40 minutes ago. Why would 247 Sports not mention the "top 10 teams" getting a separate process? It sounds like complete BS to me. It makes no sense. Your lack of providing a link to show where I can see that information tells me your comment is not true.

Since you can't have contact until the player hits the portal, how do these teams actively recruit players that never really hit the portal?

the difference is.. other schools are either filling up recruiting classes or accepting transfers in. this they can leave but we only take 15-16 man classes and fill up empty spots with walkons HAS to stop.
