Bit of insomnia + munchkin hogging the bed meant getting on them deals at 3:30AM.
Thus far: - Kid's Echo Dot ($31.99) - soundcore Boom 2 By Anker ($89.99) - Arlo Essential 2 indoor 2-pack ($56.05)
Jackery units look like they have some good discounts, too. Very fond of those even if McStuffins says his rig is vastly superior.

during hurricane season.
It is tempting, but I wonder if it isn't enough and would just be a waste. It aint gonna power the whole house, but it might power a phone charger, or a microwave, or maybe even the beer fridge. Those could be crucial with a couple days out of power.

Or is it suggested that it could last up to 10 years?
Based on my experience with lithiums, it will peter out in 3-4.

But yeah. If you're going to use it regularly, that's probably the expected lifespan.

I would bare-handed murder the EPA idiot that decided we needed those "safety" gas spouts.
Was there some sort of epidemic of exploding gas cans nationwide that prompted this mandated change? Never - and I mean NEVER - had one of those complicated spouts that worked well.

With Mrs. being celiac, I can just about do without a toaster now. I keep bread for quick sandwiches, but I rarely toast anything at home anymore.

no appliances out. So then I would have to store it in a cabinet and drag it out every time I want to use it and that seems like a hassle. We already do that with the toaster or the blender. She even wants the coffee maker off the counter, so I use a pour over coffee carafe to take up less space.

Anything that has to be stored and dragged out and put back is a no-go for me. The one exception is the wife's bread maker, and she takes care of that so it stays gluten-free. She makes bread about once every two weeks, so it's no bother to me and she packs it up when she's done.
