Note: I'm not saying he is or isn't. Just want to make a following observation.
Years ago, at a time when it not unusual for an athlete to be accused of rape, I said if I were a college coach I would tell my players the following:
This is the world you are living in. I'm not making a moral judgment with this statement. I'm just telling you this is reality. If you have sex with a girl who is not your wife, assume that you will be accused of rape the next day. The less well you know the girl, the more likely you are to be accused of rape. That's the world you are living in.

Remember when Scott Bentley claimed he had secretly videoed his encounter with an FSU coed?
He claimed it was only to defend against the kind of scenario you point out.
I don't think he was being honest then. But we are now living in a different world. And I'd probably believe him now...which is not to say that I would approve of what he did in any way.

What is the matter with people? Did he really sexually harrass a traumatized rape victim? Or, did she decide long after the fact that she was a victim because of what she willingly and perhaps enthusiastically participated in as part of a personal, private relationship? Somebody here is really evil and messed up in the head.

So she received harassment, hung up the phone, blocked the phone number so she wouldn't receive any more unwanted texts, saved all the text conversations showing the interaction and the harassment and immediately notified msu authorities about it. Just like anyone in her line of work would do. I'm assuming that's what happened. Then after that...??

conversation after midnight with a person there is documented phone calls of another 20 plus 30 min phone conversations was not a consensual, intimate conversation. To talk to each other that long, that much and then to be talking that late at night to each other doesn't seem like just a casual friendship. I really have my doubts on this one. At the end of the day though, he is married and opening up a relationship with another woman never ends up in anything good. So stupid on his part!

He made a terrible decision. A woman who was gang raped and is a sex victim advocate is not the woman you want to be doing this with. Plus he's married.
Come on man.
Sounds like she set him up from the beginning.
