If this video starts making the rounds on TV tonight, Trump

is going to go apeshit.

I'm surprised the fire marshall was ok with that crowd.***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Legit question...........

Aug 23, 2017, 12:54 PM

you think nobody is there because nobody wanted to see him, or because it wasn't worth seeing him at the potential cost of getting killed or maimed?

I'm gonna say both, with a heavy lean to the latter.

On his worst day (and he's having many of them lately), I think the guy can still fill a ballroom.

Which is the point after all.

Aug 23, 2017, 12:56 PM

Thought it was obvious.

2025 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yep, the only reason we talk about crowd sizes

Aug 23, 2017, 12:59 PM [ in reply to Apparently the President of the United States*** ]

is because the President obsesses about them. He is very sensitive about this.

I dunno. Seems like fanboy stuff on both sides***

Put it this way...........if I'm a proponent

Aug 23, 2017, 12:57 PM [ in reply to Also, who cares?*** ]

of free speech, and I see people in this country not going to hear someone speak (the President, or anyone else for that matter) because they're afraid of suffering great bodily harm, I find it worrisome.

2025 orange level memberbadge-donor-20yr.jpgringofhonor-obed.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I find it loathsome.

Aug 23, 2017, 1:29 PM

Yesterday must have been worse than his worst day.

Aug 23, 2017, 12:56 PM [ in reply to Legit question........... ]

Though your rationalization did make me chuckle.

2025 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It's not a rationalization, it's an outwardly expressed

Aug 23, 2017, 12:58 PM

curiosity.

I suppose it's easier though to give up on things like being curious and just go in the direction people point you.

2025 orange level memberbadge-donor-20yr.jpgringofhonor-obed.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If I only went "in the direction people pointed me" on here

Aug 23, 2017, 1:02 PM

wouldn't I be a Republican constantly making rationalizations to defend the current president?

2025 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

and there you go again.

Aug 23, 2017, 1:06 PM

You've been in lockstep with your party from the get-go. I can't remember a single time you haven't said something that didn't sound like it came from the desk of DW-S.

Instead of taking note of my post history and noting that I'm clearly not a Trump fan or loyalist, and engaging in some semi-interesting discourse, you see a single post that sets off your DNC SJW radar and reply with some completely unoriginal, vapid, pseudo-intellectual snicker about rationalizations.

I look forward to basketball season when you're bringing some thought back to your posts.

2025 orange level memberbadge-donor-20yr.jpgringofhonor-obed.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Bless you little heart. That small crowd size really got

Aug 23, 2017, 1:11 PM

under your skin. When you couldn't hijack the thread with some bogus rationalization , you got all pissy and emotional and started talking out of your ###.

2025 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

LMAO.....more of the same.

Aug 23, 2017, 1:13 PM

How could I be mad when it's so funny to see a grown man cheering for his party like it's a kid's tee-ball game. This is great stuff!

Looking forward to your next Brad Brownell contract status update---cheers!

2025 orange level memberbadge-donor-20yr.jpgringofhonor-obed.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Evidently small crowd sizes really bother Trump and you.

Aug 23, 2017, 1:16 PM

Perhaps you should have just laughed it off as Trump being a vainglorious bastage instead of that defensive concoction you came up with.

He has also called me a conservative. ??

Much like another former lib here, if you don't follow along like sheep, no way you're a lib or moderate. Gotta be a far right conservative. LOL

your consistency at being wrong about things has to be admired.

Sorry balm,

Aug 23, 2017, 1:15 PM

Chuckston already used up the "Semi-witty, devoid of independent thought" single line reply quota for the day.

Would love to hear some actual feedback on WHY you think that's wrong though. Are you saying people weren't aware of the protests and somewhat fearful of them?

2025 orange level memberbadge-donor-20yr.jpgringofhonor-obed.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Sorry balm,

Aug 23, 2017, 9:24 PM

because like trump, his diehard supporters thrive on conflict and aren't going to back down from protestors. But The combination of it being Phoenix on a Monday night, his recent shenanigans, and his twitter war with Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake. people just were not that into him.

But please continue making excuses for the man, and I always enjoy your conspiracy theories.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No, it's the fringes of both parties that thrive on conflict

Aug 23, 2017, 9:33 PM

Most people who want to attend a plain old Presidential speaking engagement, whether Democrat or Republican, are regular joes who want to be able to grab a steak and catch a speech without being hit in the face with a pipe.

If that's a "conspiracy theory" to you, you have a pretty liberal interpretation of the phrase. Additionally, I said he's not going through his finest hour by a long shot, and that part of the attendance issue was/could be people not being interested, so if that's "making excuses" for you, you also have a very liberal interpretation of that phrase.

Believe it or not, there is middle ground in this situation. One can make posts with positives and negatives of the administration without having to say things like "Trumptard" every post and demanding scorched Earth on one side or the other, without being a charter member of the Little Trump fan club. Try saying something at some point that you, deep down, don't like that the far left is doing instead of bottling it up inside and toeing the party line. I'll bet you find it liberating.

Re: No, it's the fringes of both parties that thrive on conflict

Aug 23, 2017, 9:39 PM

I don't deny that some older folks might have stayed home, but it is the last Monday of the month and ti was Phoenix. Most of the gas money to drive from the sticks where his supporters live had already been blown on Diapers, Oxy, and into the coffers of their local snake handler. Had he held it on the first Friday in Chino, he easily could have filled the local arena and/or rodeo complex. That, and his popularity is waning.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'll point the humor in that post,

Aug 23, 2017, 9:46 PM

since the clear intentional hyperbole stemmed from Maricopa county leaning for Trump by 50k votes.
