My neighbor is an "Officer and a Gentleman" (the only official social rank in the USA). He is also an accomplished amateur astronomer with great gear and knowledge.
Out here in my new bird blind, got this Clemson moon photo just now with my hand held bird camera. It aint his level, but shows am trying to be one of the guys. As all here might suspect, I have trouble fitting in, need to try harder.

and the moon travels 2300 MPH in the same direction, good luck getting a picture of something 238k miles away that is less than 100 Sqft. it is literally impossible.

That’s a nice picture but I doubt you are an astronomer. Astronomers can spell myself.

Me too, plus I’m also normal. Though I overpaid for the timeshare on Charon. Still kick myself over that fiasco. Wife’s had a field day with that mess.

My neighbor just posted -- "#### good for a single exposure!! And nice lens, very limited chromatic abberation."
He explains as I had no idea what that means -> "chromatic abberation is when you get a purple or yellow, fringe of color around a portion of the moons edge. It is difficult for a single lens to focus red, green and blue wavelengths to the exact same point on your camera film (chip).
In no time I will be doing Pluto like TBalm, and maybe getting invited to the local cook outs once folks in the area realize I am one of them.

Jupiter is visible now, you could probably pick it up with your bird cam. I just have a simple 6" Newtonian, no camera mount, got it for a reasonable price, but skimped on the features.
Here is a useful website for finding Jupiter. It will be a while before Mars and Venus come back into view. Uranus would just look like a bright blue dot on even the best scopes.

It's a really old joke, but some stuff is just perpetually funny in an eighth grade kinda way.
