Watching replay of ACC championship. Cade completely

tightens up in the 4th quarter starting to aim the ball rather throwing the ball. He is not seeing the field due to his being tight. He is playing tight and afraid to lose. Hope he can work out of this.

OC tightens up also in play calling. No throwing down the field.

Trying to run instead of throwing down the field. Dink and dunk when we ahead and tighten
Up. Please by all means get a #### punter.

Give it a rest dude. Yall just gotta take a dump on this kid. It's tiring. You guys will look back at this kid in 10 years in another light. Crazy the disrespect this fan base has. Yall expect these dudes to never miss or make mistakes, got news for you Watson threw a ton of ints and fumbled a bunch but the dude won games. Yall use to rag on him saying he packed it up for the NFL the year Clemson ended up winning the natty.

Look back to the CFP and specifically the 4th quarter. Watson and Lawrence did the same thing. They ran more than they threw. It’s all about ball security, taking advantage of tired lineman over the course of the game and having an extra hat to be able to block. That’s why Sellers was effective in the 4th quarter against us - particularly without Sammy.

I agree, it’s that way in any sport, when you play tight and not relaxed nothing will go right or like it should whether Tennis, Basketball, soccer or football!

SMU knows the running back is wide open for a first down every time. When they need to convert 3 rd down. Throw to RB

3 man rush is allowing QB plenty of time.BV would never do this.

It looked to me the 3 man rush was used to eliminate the running back over the middle. I thought it was a nice adjustment.

Our problem is we give him too much time to think. We need to get the tempo back up. When we go fast we go down the field and score in a hurry. I hate that hurry and wait until 1 second is on the clock to snap it.

He seemed to work well on that last series though. 😜👍

Re: Watching replay of ACC championship. Cade completely

Dec 11, 2024, 1:32 PM

Referring to the last series: we stooped throwing the ball down the field until the last few seconds of the game. Then we completed a good pass to the 38 yard line for the FG. This offense does not work well with the dink and dunk plays if we stop throwing the ball down field and giving our receivers a 50/50 chance.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He un-tightened with 9 seconds to go.***

I dunno, Champ, he didn't seem too tight in that

game on the line make the completion or its over and you lose the Conference and don't make the playoffs situation at the end of the game.

I think you may be wrong.
