I dont understand why so many are happy miami lost

Would of looked a lot better if we beat a undefeated #2 team in the acccg instead of a #8 or #9. Plus u know they are pissed and if we stay #3 or move up to #2 going the acccg, beating us will be there only hope to make into the playoffs where as they could of still made it in if we were there only loss. Just how im looking at it

I don't know why people are happy either. Remember what that Pitt loss done for us last year. Regardless to what anyone else does we are one of the few teams that doesn't need any help. All we have to do is win. Period. End of story. Win and we are in. 12-1 Champions of the toughest league in all the land. We will be in with bells on. The only thing that could help us is auburn beat bama. That would make us #1

Doesn’t matter either way. Clemson is just a better team. Better on both sides of the ball. Plus Venables vs Richt is a matchup I’d take 6 days/week & twice on Sunday. Clemson has two warmup games leading up to the playoffs.

I haven't spoken out against the necklace they are strutting around on the field wearing but the only thing I like about Miami is the HC. I tried to pull for Mark Richt knowing that a higher ranked Miami would be a better notch on our pistol grip but I couldn't help it. I wished away their victory without pulling for Pitt either.

They were gonna be underdogs to Clemson regardless.

I think both teams want to win and want to secure a spot in the CFP. This outcome shouldn’t change both teams mindsets going into next week.
Everyone was d@m tired of that stupid chain and all that voodoo luck they were on. Back down to earth and back to beating their brains in!

It helps because we have a pretty good chance at being #1 after this week after a convincing win over Coots coupled with a Bama loss. I feel Bama is going down against Aubarn. The advantage of being #1 is if we should lose a close game to Canes if we are very luck we may sneak in. You can't do that from 3 or 4 spot.

If UM and us both had finished with one loss, maybe there would have been two ACC teams in the playoff. That means more money for us and the league.

If we win out, the fact that Miami is ranked #2 0r #10 isn't going to make a difference. I would hope that a Miami loss would have been one that would destroy their incentive to make the play-off's, but I still think they have all of their goals in front of them if they beat us. That will make them even tougher and a convincing win may get them right back in the play-0offs. That said, I just don't think they are good enough to beat us anyway. I just liked watching them lose .... and will enjoy it next week.

I was glad to see it, but not because of any impact on Clemson. Clemson wins and they are in.. no matter what. No CFB committee in their right minds would keep ACC champion - defending national champion - with only one loss because of an injured quarterback out of the playoff.
I was glad to see it because I felt that Miami had that U shaped horseshoe up their tails sideways and won games that they had no business winning. Should have lost to FSU, GT, maybe more. In my mind, they were not a good representative in the CFB discussion.

Ultimately it won't matter; nothing has changed. If we beat the coots, then beat Miami, we are in the CFP. Before today, we controlled our own destiny. We still do.

Its not that im worried about miami moving down. I know if we win out we're in. its just that they will still have a shot to make the playoffs if we come into the acccg ranked #3 or higher where as if they won today and it was #2 vs #3 in the acccg they would of still had a great chance to make it into the playoffs if we were there only loss. Now, there only chance to make it in is if we stay in the top 4 after this weekend and they beat us.

Frankly, Miami "getting pissed" means nothing. They aren't Bama. They aren't CLOSE to us either. I'm happy as all get out that Miami lost. I'm tired of the media love affair with the "turnover chain". Miami is going into next weeks game facing a pumped up Tiger team after they whipped the chickens, and will go into Charlotte with a TON of fans there to cheer them on and make it known that Clemson is there WITHOUT Watson, Williams, Gallman, etc. It's more about the program than just a couple of players.

what part of it made you think that they stand a chance next week ? Even Miami fans are bailing, tickets for the ACCCG on Stub Hub have dropped by $60 since they lost.
