I hate this mantra Clemson lost to Clemson. NO... we lost to the team that lined up against us. No matter how it happens you give them credit and move on. This is just people not wanting to acknowledge that we are actually capable of losing football games to inferior opponents.

We weren’t winning that opener. Turnover’s almost always decide competitive matchups in openers. Duke looked like the better team to me that night. We should, without a doubt, be 3-1. The players were coached out of the win plain and simple.

How ?? Just how. The coaches had them ready to play. Look at the stats. The coaches didn’t fumble or miss the FG.

Just in-game coaching in critical situations, not game prep or scheme. The same two incidents everybody has beaten like a dead horse: Prevent D to lose momentum heading into the half and swallowing your desire to put it in the end zone on the last drive of regulation (not the one play after FSU failed). When you control the outcome of the game don’t give the opponent a chance to go back down the field and tie (had we made the FG) or win it (with a TD had we kicked the FG).
