Offense. Thought he was helping this year as an advisor. He used to line up receivers in the backfield and even tight ends at time. He made you look at a lot of different things as a defense.

Seriously? We are paying Riley $2 million to be our OC so do you really think he looks for help? Morris and the other grad assistants and staff break down film.

Just because we are overpaying him does not mean he some kind of offensive guru. I have not been overly impressed so far. Have you?

Valley Boy, sometimes I don’t think you ever come out of the valley and get on the mountain top so you can see better. Riley has done nothing to impress me so far. I hope and pray that he does. At this moment in time I feel Streeter called a better game.

Well for one thing Riley needs to have the skill players to execute what he wants to do on offense and its clear we are lacking in several skill positions.

Chad Morris developed the offense that Riley, all the modern air raid offenses copy...he developed these at 2nd tier high schools in Texas before anyone else were doing this...maybe Chad is chillin!

I think you mean Hal Mumme and Mike Leach created the offense. The branches lead out from there.

Don't you know there's going to be some awesome conversations between the ghosts of Leach, Mumme and Mouse Davis? Run N Shoot or Air Raid?

He’s responsible to scout the game ahead. His analysis provides trends, tendencies, opportunities to exploit. He leaves on Thursday to go see his son play at TCU. Dabo did not mention him being involved in play designs/schemes.

Thanks. I can see that. Nothing familiar to what he used to do. He had many different schemes just to get 1 yard. Our O line was even worse then.

I have always thought it was wise to show every opponent some things they haven’t seen on film. Several would be better. I think our team, especially the offense, has become predictable. Well coached teams introduce new things every game. It makes your team harder to predict for the next opponent.. perhaps the Tiger players aren’t sharp enough to do that but I seriously doubt ithat.

This is what I’m trying to say but the Bozos think since we pay him so much this makes him great. I personally thought Napiers scheme looked far superior to what we are doing. In fact I feel Streeters scheme is better. The plays were there we just could not get the ball to open guys. More of personnel problems than scheme issues.

Wasn't everybody glad to see Morris go when he left? It felt like he had done everything he could with that scheme at the time. I know Elliott and Scott still ran mostly the same stuff but they broke some tendencies and added a few wrinkles. Of course the talent onhand didn't hurt either.

Wasn't Morris doing his work during the week and attending his son's games on game day? I assume he gives them info--it's up to the other offensive staff to execute.

More experience at QB will open things up. He may be calling things the avg fan doesn’t even realize because Cade decides to take the check down instead.
Love to see 2 TE’s more often myself.

He’s a film analyst. He doesn’t run the offense. He analyzes film for the coaches. He doesn’t call plays nor align players. He analyzes film for coaches. He’s a film analyst. Got it now??
