I dont see CU or FSU out of the ACC in the near future

Obviously this is just an opinion but the ACC will drag this out for as long a possible. They have no incentive to speed it up unless they are extremely confident in prevailing. The ACC dies without CU and FSU and they know it. I see it taking several years before we know anything definitive. Given the attorney’s fees and opportunity lost, we might have been better to pass the collection plate and pay the ACC exit fee and just move on.

Oh, I think they are gone but definitely not in 90 days as some have suggested. The legal wheels move slowly and the ACC will fight it forever.

I tend to agree. Things that involve courts, judges and lawyers move in a slow deliberate way and this could take at least a year.

Oh their plans are on leaving the ACC ASAP, more now than ever before the ACC and Phillips has a hard on for Clemson and FSU, and they would screw those two every chance they got for chunking rocks at the hornets nest...

For the record here, I don't believe we will be out of the ACC in 90 days,

nor announced our intention to do so, just that we will have negotiated an exit price and will be free to explore options without the spectre of additional litigation or uncertainties following. Considering ESPN's upcoming option window two years out, this scenario provides ample time for all vested parties to best plot their next decade and beyond. No one here wants to leave these up to chance.

Time is money for both Clemson and FSU. It will be done within 12 months maximum.

The exit fee will decrease the longer this goes on. This is ACCs main reason they would settle now. Exit fee would be higher presently plus attorney fees.
If this drags out I think the exit fee would mimic the one Maryland paid… increased for inflation. GOR is becoming increasingly bogus

Tend to agree. Among many reasons, because the NC court IMHO will not be able to reign in the FLA and SC courts. The ACC facing legal battles in three or more states will be overwhelming. And what's happens if a UVA, VaT, GaT, Louisville or other opens a suit if.when FSU & Clemson gain traction?

I think Clemson, FSU, NC, Miami, Louisville, and maybe Duke all going to the Big 12. With Clemson, FSU, and NC getting higher share to be close to SEC/Big10 money.

I hope not. To me, they’d be much better to stay where they are. Anything other than joining the SEC and I’ll be disappointed.

It amazes me that people actually think ESPN will pay more money for Clemson and FSU to play UCF, Cincy and Houston along with a bunch of the others like Iowa St, Kansas, KState. LOL!

It will never happen and here's why, why would either want to jump right back into the same situation that they're setting in right now. I don't believe either of them are that stupid!!!

I don't know what's going to happen but someone should take responsibility for getting us into this GOR and resign.

FSU/CLEMSON will announce soon, before Aug. 15 2024, that they are leaving the ACC. The law suit can continue. The judges in SC AND Fl will rule that the ACC Zdoes not own media rights is any team once that team is no longer a member of the ACC. A settlement will be reached on the exit fee. The settlement fee can be reached after Aug. 15. Other conferences can begin first party talks with Acc teams since the teams who want to leave will own their media rights. That is all that matters.

I tend to agree. Our judicial system is very slow. They should be able to talk this over for a week and come to a decision.

The case is in the hands of courts in NC and SC and the ACC has nothing to do with the timeline. The case will be appealed in both states and then who knows, maybe Washington. No telling how long it will take.

I'm an ACC fan but I want Clemson to prosper financially.I do believe that as long as Dabo is our coach and the coaches that he surrounds himself with, we will be very competitive and make the playoffs every year.If we move ok and if we don't ok. I have been ACC as long as they have existed but I realize a change has to come.
