as a member of the Big 10.

The B1G is not going to sign a single southern school. If they make a move, it will be to create an entire southern division that would challenge the SEC's dominance and make deep inroads into their TV markets.

The SEC may move pre-emptively to ###### at least FSU and Clemson to keep the B1G from putting their plan into place. It wouldn't be about a bigger SEC TV market. It would be about keeping another conference from eroding what they already have.

Think about it - would you enjoy watching a schedule that featured Miami, FSU, Clemson, UNC, Va Tech and Penn State as every season opponents with rotating games against the other B1G teams? Pretty sure the SEC doesn't want to see that.

It's going to be an interesting summer.

only because they would probably become regular opponents if their conference decided to expand south.

I don't give a you know what about playing Maryland but the alignment makes sense. If the SEC sits on their hands and does not offer, I can see the B1G making either this move or something similar. They could take Ga Tech instead of Va Tech. Make your own combinations.

I'm just saying that no one should imagine that the B1G will come after one southern team. They are after more than that.

That would be a nasty schedule. Would love to see it happen. Be playing Ohio State and Michigan frequently too.
